Kellie Benda - Chair

Executive Director and Proprietor - Marvic Packaging Australia

Kellie is an Executive Director and Proprietor of Marvic Packaging Australia, a national provider of packaging solutions.  Previously Kellie held the position of Executive General Manager - Member People & Strategy at RAC.  She has spent much of her career as an Investment Banker in Sydney and returned to Perth eight years ago.  She previously practices as a Corporate Solicitor.  Kellie is a qualified solicitor and has a Bachelor of Arts (Industrial Relations), as well as a Masters of Applied Finance and is a graduate of Harvard Business School, US.

She has been on numerous Boards and recently retired from the Board of WA Forest Products Commission and Methodist Ladies College. She is currently on the Board of The Art Gallery of Western Australia and Youth Focus (charity).

Kellie is the recipient of a WA 40under40 award, List Inspire Award for Business and Community Services, a past finalist in the Telstra Business Women's Awards and in 2009 has been named as one of 25 of Australia's Leading Emerging Business Women and one of 100 Emerging Australian Leaders in 2009.

Rachael Hain - Managing Director

Rachael founded Ready to Work along with Kellie in 2008.  Rachael is a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) and has worked for listed companies and government departments.  She has previous Board experience with small NFP.

Rachael is a founding member of the National Womens Alliance with Dressed for Success, Brisbane and Sydney.  Rachael also mentors CPA students in their transition to full CPA status.

In August 2010, Rachael was awarded as one of two recipients of the Sir Frank Ledger Scholarshop to undertake the AIM UWA Business School Alliance - Advanced Management Program.

Rachael is one of the 40under40 - Top 40 Pre-Eminent Business Leaders under 40 years of age recipients for 2011.  

Phil Rule – Vice Chair
BComm MBA (AGSM) ASIA MAICD

Phil is Managing Director of Marvic Packaging Australia, a national provider of packaging solutions.  Prior to that he was Head of Institutional and Corporate Banking at CBA in WA.  He has spent most of his career as a Senior Banker in Sydney and Perth.

Phil is on the Methodist Ladies College Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Board (WA).  He is also an active lifesaver.

 

Ms Kate O'Hara 
Group Manager, Marketing

 

Kate's marketing career began in the late 1980's and expands across many sectors including retail, tourism, construction, mining and finance.  After starting with JMG Marketing, and then spending four years in Singapore, Kate reteurned to Perth as Group Account Director and a Senior Manager with The Shorter Group.  After several years as State Manager for The Capital Group and following the creation of Intersect Communications consultancy, Kate now oversees Hawaiian's communications strategy across all aspects of the company's business. 

Kate is a committee member of The 500 Club, and she has recently been appointed to the Board of The Black Swan Theatre Company. 

Ms Julie Athanasoff 
Partner, Gilbert & Tobin

 

Julie is a partner of Gilbert & Tobin.  Julie provides advice on mergers, acquisitions and divestments (public market and private treaty), equity capital raisings, shareholder agreements and other strategic alliances, legal due diligence associated with transactional work and Corporations Act and ASX Listing Rules compliance.  Julie also assists clients on a wide spectrum of contractual and commercial matters, corporate governance and corporate advisory issues.

Julie acted as general counsel at a Western Australian superannuation fund, in addition to working in private legal practices in both Sydney and Perth.  



 

Suzanne Ardagh
State Manager, Australian Institute of Company Directors

Suzanne Ardagh is the WA State Manager of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. 

A graduate of UWA, she joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, completing postings in Vienna and Mexico City.  She returned to Perth in 1992 to join the office of the CEO of Wesfarmers Ltd, and in 2001 she headed overseas again to take up the inaugural role of Director of Marketing and Communications with RMIT International University, Vietnam.

Ms Ardagh returned to Perth in 2007.  She is also on the Board of Musica Viva Australia, the Perth International Arts Festival and IASKA and has been appointed to the General Council of HBF in 2010.
