How To Help

.... with your donations

Your donation will assist in building sustainability for all our programmes.  Become one of our financial supporters, by using paypal, sending a cheque to Ready to Work or contacting us via email/phone with your credit card details.  All donations over $2 are tax deductible.

.... with your time

There are many ways you can get involved and make a significant difference in the lives of the women we meet.

  • Work with clients to improve their presentation and interview skills, building confidence which is so important in gaining a job.
  • Run a clothing drive at your premises.
  • Provide your experience and services eg. HR, stylist, hairdresser, office duties etc.
  • Provide business or other mentoring services to our clients.
  • Facilitate career development workshops to help our clients function more confidently in the workplace.  These include communication, financial and personal development and business etiquette.
  • Sorting and organising the clothing donations.  Clothing is donated to Ready to Work via corporate clothing drives, personal requests and from excess stock clearances.
  • Provide assistance with fundraising activities and events.

If you would like to volunteer your time and skills please download and fill in our Volunteer Information Form.  Once completed, please post to Suite 2, 15 Rosslyn Street, West Leederville WA 6007 or email to info@readytowork.org.au. We will let you know of the upcoming Volunteer Information and Training sessions.  For more information regarding volunteer opportunities please contact us on 9381 7884.

.... with your clothing donations

  • If you have professional clothing that you no longer wear, doesn’t fit, or don’t like anymore, Ready to Work needs that outfit.  Clothing donations should be professional, clean, new or gently worn, and work appropriate (suits, jackets, pants, skirts, shirts and dresses). Larger sizes (sizes 14 and up) are always in demand and are particularly appreciated. Acceptable accessories include gently worn shoes, scarves, belts, bags, jewellery, new pantyhose, and unopened make-up are all needed.
  • If you are a clothing or accessory company – put your end of season and excess items to good use!  Make a contribution to Ready to Work.
  • Run a clothing drive at your workplace.

The possibilities, really, are endless and we look forward to discussing them with you.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
