Clothing Donations

If you have professional clothing that you no longer wear, doesn’t fit, or don’t like anymore, Ready to Work needs that outfit.

Clothing donations are accepted:

• Drop-off donations are accepted Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am–3.00pm, at the Ready to Work’s offices, Suite 2, 15 Rosslyn Street, West Leederville.  Please call us on 9381 7884 to arrange your drop off.
• Drop-offs are also accepted at Sisters of Subiaco boutique Shop 3, 40 Subiaco Square Road, Subiaco - Tel: 9381 4985 Opening hours
  10-6 Monday-Friday, 10-5 Saturday
• On the second Saturday of every month we are accepting clothing donations at the Ready to Work offices.  A list of dates will be posted on the Home page of our website. 

To ensure that the contributions are meaningful to our clients, Ready to Work asks that clothing donations should be professional, clean, new or gently worn, and work appropriate. Acceptable items include suits, jackets, pants, skirts, shirts, camisoles and dresses. In addition, larger sizes are always in demand and particularly appreciated.

We would also appreciate accessories, including gently worn shoes, scarves, belts, bags, jewellery, and new pantyhose; however, we are unable to accept jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, underwear or used make-up.

Ready to Work’s services aim to increase self confidence in job interviews through looking and feeling professional by providing each client with two complete outfits for their interview.  Once securing employment our clients can return for additional outfits.

Clothing Drives

We ask that corporations or organisations interested in conducting a clothing drive please note the following:

• Clothing donations should be professional, clean, new or gently worn, and work appropriate (suits, jackets, pants, skirts, shirts and dresses).
• Larger sizes (sizes 14 and up) are always in demand and are particularly appreciated.
• Acceptable accessories include gently worn shoes, scarves, belts, bags, jewellery, new pantyhose, and unopened make-up. 
• We are unable to accept jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, underwear or used make-up. 

A clothing bin can be dropped off to your premises.  To co-ordinate a clothing drive at your workplace, please contact Lyn Jolly, Programmes Manager via email on info@readytowork.org.au or telephone 9381 7884. 

In-Kind Corporate Donations

If you are a clothing or accessory company – put your end of season and excess items to good use!  Make a contribution to Ready to Work.

Please note that we are unable to collect clothes. 

Ready to Work is a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).  All clothing donations are tax deductible and Ready to Work can provide your company with the necessary forms.

Financial Contributions

Your donation will assist in building sustainability for all our programmes.  Become one of our financial supporters, by using paypal, sending a cheque to Ready to Work or contacting us via email/phone with your credit card details.  All donations over $2 are tax deductible.  Please complete the Donation Form.  We will then send you a receipt for taxation purposes.
