A sense of self assurance, pride in your appearance and the ability to present your skills and talents to best advantage make all the difference to your chances of getting the job you want, finding your niche in the community and gradually working your way to financial independence.
Sounds simple enough, doesn’t it? Well, to the many women who suffer disadvantage of one kind or another, it can seem an impossible dream.
Not any longer. WA’s inspirational non profit organisation, Ready to Work stands ready to help.
Ready to Work is a community of Western Australian women who know what it takes to develop confidence, prepare for interviews and employment, to dress for success and to perform to the best of their ability in the workplace and in the broader community.
Ready to Work will help disadvantaged women obtain meaningful work by providing them with many of the tools they need to secure and maintain employment. From the provision of professional clothing, to accessories and personal care services, interview skills, life skills and business mentoring, Ready to Work is there to make a tangible difference to the lives of women who need a helping hand.
Based on similar, successful models in the USA and on the east coast of Australia, Ready to Work can offer disadvantaged women who are referred to the service chances to succeed and prosper in ways they may never have thought possible.

.......WITH YOUR TIME, YOUR SKILLS, YOUR DONATIONS
Ready to Work needs your help in a number of ways. You may like to volunteer your time in our boutique in West Leederville; you may like to donate suitable business clothing and accessories you no longer need.
You may like to make a donation to help us develop the service further. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
If you run a business, you may wish to become a sponsor by providing money, goods or services relevant to our objectives. For instance, if you are a hairdresser, you may like to provide some services free of charge, or you may like to run a “clothing collection” at your premises. You may even like to provide business or other mentoring services to our clients…
The possibilities, really, are endless and we look forward to discussing them with you.
