Ready to Work is a not-for-profit organisation that helps disadvantaged Western Australian women during their quest to gain – and maintain – meaningful employment and take the first steps towards financial independence and a better life.
With our three-step program, we support vulnerable
women disadvantaged by poverty and the circumstances that lead down that path, from long-term unemployment
to illness, disability, family break-up, abuse and marginalisation.
From all walks of life, each woman has a heart-rending story but, by the time she comes to see us, she is starting to pick up the pieces and face the world of work, albeit often with low self esteem and concerns about her skills and abilities, about presenting and performing well at job interviews and about maintaining work once she has secured it.
Ready to Work gives women the basic resources they need to maximise their chances in an increasingly competitive labour market. To understand how we do that, check out our Three Steps to Financial Independence program.
Since 2009, we’ve helped transform the lives of some 800 women, but there are many more that need our help.
We need your help to continue that work.
